In case you were wondering...

In case you were wondering...

This blog exists to encourage all those who have ever wanted--and needed!--a tiny getaway close to home. A workshop, playhouse, garden shed, sanctuary, mini-greenhouse, studio, home office; whatever it is you need, it IS doable, with some sacrifice, imagination, and compromise.

It helps if you're handy, too.

  2. I like your design but I probably wouldn't put the front door on as that would make for more storage and you have such nice doors right next to it on the side. Sounds like a nice spot to be in.

  4. I love all the doors . . . all the light. It even looks as though you could open everything up and almost be outside, weather permitting. Sort of plein air IN your studio! And I love the nice size of the deck. . . yet another place to watch the sun rise with coffee and/or sketchbook in hand.

  5. That's about right, Betty! That was my plan. It will be lovely to be out of touch with the phone, etc., but close enough to it, and the bathroom!

  6. I think I already wrote you about liking the design, especially the desk and French Doors, but I just want to add here a thank you for starting this blog. It is such fun for all of us to follow this.

Yes, that will be nice...and I'm glad I did the blog, too, and made Joseph a correspondent, so he can add his perspective if he wants.
