This blog exists to encourage all those who have ever wanted--and needed!--a tiny getaway close to home. A workshop, playhouse, garden shed, sanctuary, mini-greenhouse, studio, home office; whatever it is you need, it IS doable, with some sacrifice, imagination, and compromise.
It helps if you're handy, too.

I can see why you have fallen deeply in love with this small space. I actually love the floral chair--hehe! You'll have to let us know how the candle cooker worked. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's actually supposed to heat a small, insulated space. Uh. An outhouse maybe? And yep, I'm getting so I love that chair, too!
ReplyDeleteI love it, I love it! The video buffered quickly, today...Moody, I guess... And such fun to follow the eyes around and savor every bit. So-o cozy, Kate. And Ms Cat adds drama with flashing tail as she watches the birds. I'm not usually a flower chair person but this chair is inviting and I am beginning to like the flowers very much in this setting. Cheering.

Thanks Annie, I resisted that chair for a long time, for that very reason! I am NOT a flower-print person. However...it does look cool, doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of Pepe to dust your desk with his tail as he watches the birds...a kitty multi-tasker! The chair looks very comfy, and I do like the floral print, but then I love the English Cottage look.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've "moved" right in and made it all cozy and cute...love it.
Thank you, Joan! I found the perfect rug today in the same shop where I got the chair...don't expect to get the same kind of wonderful price break on it though! I'm waiting to hear, couldn't find a price tag...
ReplyDeleteI love it too! It's a long way from the Japanese teahouse/Zen garden feeling it had for a while there...
As long as it keeps you actively creative and warm at the same time.
ReplyDeleteDoes the rug you're waiting to hear price of have the same English cottage look? Maybe this is the universe pointing you in another direction? You have to trust the Ides of Winter...
Hi Joan! Yes, it does, once I have both heaters on for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the rug...maybe English Renaissance cottage! But yes, it hasn't gone the way of a Japanese tea house or Zen garden for quite some time now, guess I'm just not the type!
