| It's been lovely having mourning doves in the yard, lately...around here they're more likely to be in more suburban or rural areas. Being able to watch them so closely reminded me how similar they are to the extinct passenger pigeon. |

I love the sound they make. They are my favorite bird because their cooing puts me to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI love them too, Cathy! I don't see them every day, but I'd been hearing them for a week or so before they made an appearance. I hope they stay!
