In case you were wondering...
This blog exists to encourage all those who have ever wanted--and needed!--a tiny getaway close to home. A workshop, playhouse, garden shed, sanctuary, mini-greenhouse, studio, home office; whatever it is you need, it IS doable, with some sacrifice, imagination, and compromise.
It helps if you're handy, too.

Well, Kate, I dunno--that is how it must feel, right now. But the insanity should stop once the shed is completed, and then it should return to its original purpose--a reflective and creative space and a refreshing retreat from an insane world.

It sure sounds like construction problems are not proportional to the building's size. Hang in there. I'm with annie. "Insanity" won't describe it in the long run.
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm just being a smarty.<:-P
ReplyDeleteActually it IS lovely, every morning (though I have to look past the wires and insulation and mess).
And nope, John, this just amazes me. Thought it would be very simple...as it is, I'm not wild about all the decisions and discussions that have to happen along the way. When you through in the changing codes and various opinions...
Nope - doesn't sound right to me for where this shed will be in once finished.
ReplyDeleteI'd also be concerned whether it was the type of blog which drains me of my good vibes
You are SO right, Katherine! Now that we've passed the last official hurdle and aren't working with anyone else's schedule, it's entering a really delightful stage...we had a heavenly time over there last night after the rain, and today it's cool and wonderful, and I'm getting some painting done...(walls and woodwork kind.*G*)
ReplyDeleteI was really just kidding--and venting some of my frustration!
